Thats because Google, the spammers friend, officially encourages users
to get click revenue on their Google owned blogspot. Then they use
Google groups to spam everyone. 9/10 is a little conservative...

IMO book sellers (i wont flatter them with the term "store"😉 blogs and
eBay should have a separate compilation on google.

The general search engine should not turn up amazone.com or blogs or
people selling what i may be looking for information on.

If they can do a separate search for groups or maps why not weed out the
references to products for sale when searching for information.

It really irritates me when i search on a term and get thousands of
offers to sell me a book on the subject or blogs commenting on the
subject and maybe only a few actual links to site that contain the
information im looking for.

Its probly only a matter of time till there are "Master" (or possibly
"slaved"😉 search engines more easily tailored to a users specific needs.

I don't know if you use Firefox but there's a free extension called AdBlock
Plus that works great for this and websites in general. I've never seen a
blog URL resulting from a google search!

Sorry, I don't know of an IExplorer, Opera or Safari equivalent.

Joseph, have you ever used this search engine? The chap posted the link
here a while ago. It's handy. I like it. Try it for something you've
experienced "the other way" and see if it's an improvement. I'd be
curious to know how it works for you.
