  1. Hoping someone can help me. I have a bunch of raw shrimp and some sweet
sausage. I'm looking to make some sort of spicy dish, maybe with a pasta,
maybe a cream sauce. Maybe over rice. Just want to use those ingredients, as
my wife does not like them, and she is out of town. I finally get to cook
    some stuff that I like!

  2. maybe smoething cajun like a jambalaya, with those ingredients? or
    paella?

I have a recipe from several years ago for shrimp and sausage wraps with a
    spicy roasted pepper sauce. I think there were carmelized onions involved;
the shrimp were sauteed; some raw shredded cabbage added to the wraps for
crunch, and a little sour cream as a cool counterpoint to the spicy sauce.
Everything was wrapped in a warm flour tortilla (this is a recipe from the
early days of the 'wraps' craze) They were really good; if you want the
recipe, holler, and I'll try to type it in later tonite or tomorrow. Right
    now, it's bedtime...gotta slam-dunk the kids.

  5. When the wife's out of town, keep it simple- pat the shrimp dry,
sprinkle with a little salt and sugar, pan sear the shrimp in a very
hot skillet with a tblsp. of oil, drizzle with lemon, have a side salad
and a chardonnay... get up in the morning and have the sausage for
    breakfast.

I'd brown the sausage, adding chopped onions, garlic and green pepper,
add it to rice along with some canned tomato sauce and chicken broth and
white wine. Some bottled roasted red peppers and a chopped medium hot
chile would be nice. When the rice is nearly done, add the shrimp.
Some saffron would be good, and other herbs (oregano or marjoram) to
    your taste. Pinch of cumin?

    Yum.

My God, Man, what time is dinner? Bag the rice and stick with the pasta.
