When I mention on r.f.c. that I have tried another's recipe and enjoyed it, I don't feel right re-printing their recipe even though it would make it convenient for others to read it then and there. I'd rather give the original OP the choice of publishing it again for others. Am I being overly touchy?
I think including the recipe that you're commenting on is a consideration to your readers, and I can't comment on a recipe I've not seen so it just makes sense to include it. Saves them the time/trouble to look it up in the archives. All that is required is to make sure it is properly attributed to the source. There is nothing to say the OP would see your post and then repost the recipe again.
