I had the same problem with the bolts loosening every hundred miles or so. The other thing is that
while the main attachment is quite light, the mounting plate is pretty heavy, so that the overall
carrier adds more weight than you'd expect.

As for launching bottles, if anyone out there knows of one that doesn't, i'd like to hear about it!
I've tried the old profile design one and am now using the SPT rear carrier (which is much lighter
than the minoura).

A fellow Canadian eh...you have a couple of Ontario options. One is to give Keith MacKay at the
Fitness Technique a call 1 800 573-6350 as I'm certain he has them (bought one for my bike)...or you
could also have a look at the racer sportif website (located in Toronto) or possibly even the
endurosport website. I think both of them carry the Minoura double model as well. Either way best of
luck and safe riding.

I've used the Minoura for many years I love how you can rack your bike with this holder. I use
Profile Kages because they hold the bottles securely when hitting uneven pavement. You can also
strap a small tool kit/tube between the struts. Jack in Orlando

I used one all summer and it worked great. The only problem I had was once a month I would
re-tighten the mounting bolts as they seemed to loosen slightly. I never lost a bottle.

on bolts loosening on rear-mount bottle holders: i put a little piece of duct tape over the bolts.
this slows the process (unavoidable, as far as i can tell) a great deal, and gives peace of mind
when done right before a race (and just after tightening said bolts). peggy
