Rear Mech replacement advise.

Indexing isn't an issue. The frame has already been cold-set out to
126mm, so I'm not keen to push it any further.

Pretty much any modern long or medium cage mech will do you, if you are not
bothered about indexing.

Good question. IIRC it has a 28/36/48 at the front and a 13-28 at the
rear. When I first built it up I had some wierd setup with largeish
chainrings (32/46/52) and a fairly wide range block at the back, but I
never really needed the high gears so I changed the 'rings down and
I'm pretty sure I went for either 28/36/48 or 28/38/48...

In which case the longer cage version of a road rear mech should servce
admirably, e.g. Mr Shimano's 105 RD-5600-GS (sorry, I'm not au fait with
what Campag offer in this area). I'd have quoted prices off Wiggle, but
their web site has thrown a wobbler.

I'd personally not bother trying to track down a new old-stock Sun Tour
unless dead set on trying to keep things as original as possible, though the
Cyclone was a nice piece of kit in its day.
