The bike does not look weird to me....ditto...

The strangest, most horrible bike(piece of [censored]) I've ever seen was a custom built recumbent.

It had 16" wheels, handlebars that came from behind the riders shoulders to steer the rear wheel, nylon seat that looked like a ride on mower tilted at a 45 degree angle and the pedals and drive chain protruding out the front, so that the rider was leaning back pedaling in the air. The bloke looked like he was using some sort of bench press - it looked horribly uncomfortable.
He used to ride about 300km a week commuting and swore by it's speed and manouverability, I called it the 'Picasso bike' That's what it looked like 😄
He had the idea that I would challenge him to a time trial on my 'wedgie' (standard racer 9speed ultegra) to rest his case. The challenge never eventuated. I think his design was a pretty standard recumbent design.

I think that this one could also help in two other threads:-
"How can you train for hills without hills?" and "How can you train for long distances without cycling long distances?"

This one's not quite as tall as the 41 foot, 7 inch bike, but it's tall and it's definitely weird...
