Why should the (first) language they speak, and the nation they're from,
affect your judgement of a cyclist? Rasmussen, Gerdemann, and even Vino
all speak better English than most Americans (and, indeed, more coherent
English than Mark Cavendish).

Millar said in an interview after his run that he had advised Iban Mayo to
put road tyres on - presumably meaning 23mm@120psi rather than 20mm@180.

Actually he didn't miss any tests, he sendt his where-abouts
declaration too late acording to the rules but the UCI/ADD still
recived them ahead of scedule. MR has been tested out of competition
this year.

How is this going down in Denmark? Does the cycling fan in the street see
Rasmussen as a new national hero, or a tainted crook? Are the Danish
cycling authorities reflecting public opinion in dropping him from the
team?

Rasmussen's never struck me as a particularly likable guy, and he may well
have ruffled a few feathers... but dropping him from the team for missed
paperwork looks like a huge over-reaction.
