I know some of these parts are probably NOT top notch, but
hey, for $250.00 I have a bike. I have a triple crank on
there now since the cogs are riveted on. I'm using the
rear der. as a chain tensioner. I already had some of the
other parts. Chris may recognize the fork, seat and grips.

Looks like a decent inexpensive conversion. You can further
unbolt the small ring from your crank, and replace the
large with a bash guard of some kind, or grind the teeth
off, as I recall someone in this group doing for their SS.
Good luck, I think you'll find it's much easier to ride
than you expect!

the large with a bash guard of some kind, or grind the
teeth off, as I recall someone in this group doing for

No I can't unbolt the granny and big gears since they're
"riveted" on. However, why not leave the big ring on and use
it as a bash guard? The small ring - well it seems
innocuous.

Ohhh, you've got one of "those" cranksets. Well, nothing
wrong with that, I suppose. If you decide you like the bike
and singlespeeding enough, you can always drop some more
money into it for upgrades.
