Ted,
The main difference between Atkins and Zone is this: Atkins is low
carb/high protein and Zone is a combination of 40% carbs (fruits &
vegetables), 30% protein and 30% fat. The Zone Diet and products are fully
explained here:
http://www.preciouspets.org/a/zonenet.html
Dr. Barry Sears became an official partner of Trilogy earlier this year (a
company based in Florida, owned by Dennis and Carol Berardi, co-owners of
HealthyPetNet). His company name is officially ZoneNet.
It's important to know that many companies out there are using the word
'Zone' in their products, product line and web addresses, which is extremely
misleading. If the Zone product you're using does not have Dr. Sears' name
on it, it is NOT a true Dr. Barry Sears Zone product. ZoneNet is ready to
launch a nationwide campaign to reclaim the Sears name.
This information is being passed on to clear up lots of confusion
nationwide, and to help reclaim the Sears name!
Many of the benefits of the Zone Diet and Dr. Sears' products (mainly his
OmegaRx Ultra-Refined Fish Oil and SeaHealth Plus) can be learned here:

Feel free to e-mail me off list if you have any further detailed questions,
Bree

Quoted message said:Hello,
Some relatives (who don't have internet access) are asking me to find
out what the Zone diet is, and to pass along the info to them. Can someone please tell me in simple terms what is the Zone? or
compare Zone to Atkins? Please don't tell me to "read the book", for two reasons:
* I'm not interested in practicing the Zone for myself.
* I do not have the time to read the book on every diet out there.Thank you very much!
