Ullrich has full support and is not winning. Zabel NO support, and at
least makes a show of it. I think the first week of the tour will miss
Zabel. T mobile will miss his leadership, and Ullrich will still lose
to Lance.

Absolutely true. And you are right, he will not win this
year. Even so, the decision of which horse to ride in
the Tour was made long ago. That defined the focus of
the team. Especially given that Zabel is not winning
this year.

I think he was on the right track to go fast at the tour. Also no
Ale-Jet, which meant he would have probably won a stage or two. Tour
2006 is VINO first Ullrich second again.

2006 is Ivan Basso all the way from the way it looks from here. Vino cracks
but Ivan stays. Vino works really hard but Ivan works all year around.

There is always Cunego who will be rip-snorting next year and will blow
Simoni off so hard in the Giro that everyone will wonder if he's on drugs
(well Brian will be convinced).

There's a whole new generation that will come into their own next year.
Popovych ain't hay neither and Tom Danielson and others are ready to learn.
