That's dumb, you can buy an entire unicycle for cheaper than you can buy
a wheel. Why would you want such a strong BC Wheel? It's not like most
people are going to do big drops on it.

It's still not impossible, just a little bit harder. If you have pegs
that rotate, even harder and a little stupid, but still not impossible.
So I'm not a big fan of impossible.

The ultimate wheel is called "ultimate" because, at the time, it was as
minimalist as you could go with a unicycle (I'm guessing--don't know the
origin of that name). BC wheels are a step beyond that. What comes after
ultimate, without being impossible?

How about an extreme wheel?

Because it's your choice. Why buy an Escalade when you could just get
the Chevy or GMC version of same vehicle for many thousands less? It's
for the bling factor. One person's dumb is another person's "Look at
me!"

BTW, I can go from forward to backward on a BC without touching any
outside objects. On flat ground. Without touching the wheel or using a
portable fan. 🙂

If we are going to distinguish between the two, the BC wheel should be
the one with pegs, as this would reflect the origin of the name. The
"original" BC wheel (from the comic strip) had pegs or rather just an
axle on which the rider stood, not footplates.

does any of you have that comic strip??

I didnt know about the origin of the name "BC" ...

I have read lots of times the term impossible wheel since long time ago
but the bc term came to me at the same time as the impossible wheel with
platforms.

By the way i would like to include in my webpage a section with unicycle
related things... well I dont know how to call them, im talking abount
girafes imposibble wheels ultimates and those things.

I would like to put some information about each of those things...

My brother (Sockmonster) did that with a girls bike we got at a
junkyard. We originally got it just to take the front wheel and
handlebars off to hold while we ride our unis. He eventually put pegs on
it and had an impossible wheel with handlebars.

We didn't put a whole lot of time into attempting to ride it, but i must
say Impossible wheel is not just a clever name.

so like a backspin? or a hop twist 180? what other tricks can you/have
you heard of people doing on bc wheels? so far i've heard of:
forwards
backwards
hopping up curbs/over skateboards
transition from fwd-bwd

what is possible?
