thanks Sherry- first real trip to Miami. Loved Cuban food- but definitely
not low carb! Too bad they can't take the carbs out of fried plantain.
Versailles on 8th St is great. huge menu 24 hours a day, that you could
still stick to your plan if you wanted to- but I wanted to try out the Cuban
fare.
I've discovered that the more adults you take on a trip the longer you spend
waiting for each other. When in Ft Lauderdale take the water taxis!! great
entertainment for $5 all day pass. Weston, Fl was a upscale area- lots of
safe neighborhoods to walk miles- but far from the beaches. So I walked
while everyone decided what we were doing next.
Sawgrass outlet Mall is the largest outlet mall in the world- I hardly
bought anything, but it took 2 hours of speedwalking to see the whole thing
we were there to tour colleges- so I probably will be back again.
BTY- my carry on for the plane was packed with strawberries, nuts, cheeses,
salad. Airports are much better these days for healthy foods, but my
strawberries on cheddar cheese was a far better snack than the cookies the
steward was handing out.

I just completed a 13 day vacation. Ended up with a urinary track
infection

weight, but still wasn't in the usual routine & I hardly ever get sick.
Tip: After a VERY sweet vinaigrette dressing ruined one good dinner salad
at

Good tip, thank you! 🙂
I hadn't heard that before, re: your first statement. But it does make
sense, if our bodies get used to running on a certain type of fuel after a
while and then we throw sugar in the tank - so to speak 🙂 - I can see how
that could happen for some people!
Other than your UTI, I hope you had a good time on your vacation and it
was
all worth it 🙂.
