Yeah, like the opinion of the American public has any impact or influence on cycling, especially now that Armstrong is retired.
Its the only court that Armstrong is really playing in. And its where the source of power sits that forces Pound out. Yep, its still the court of opinion that counts.
Of course, the only reason that I mention those papers are that they are the ones I read. I wouldn't be surprised that there are similar reports in every place but France...

US public opinion, has little or no influence on WADA-AMA and Pound (What's the US gonna do, attack WADA headquarters?) The US, especially where cycling is concerned, is not where Pound is playing. Money talks. And with the US ponying up 5-7% of WADA-AMA's funding compared to Europes 23.5%, that particular court is not in session.

I admire your belief that WADA is truly independent in all ways and matters. My $ 50 says Pound is gone by 9/30 of this year and it starts within the USOC organization.

The whole issue has dropped off the US sports radar screen. The only thing that matters in the US regarding cycling is Lance Armstrong. He's been cleared of doping allegations, end of story.

So, no this will have no impact on Pound.

The problem here is that no one watches TV anymore so what sort of "image machine" do you suppose they would be exposed to?
