  1. I have to add again! Was riding my N36 in my rural area and out came a
dog. Did not attack but startled me so much with its bark ( I was
daydreaming) a UPD resulted. I hate bad ashphalt roads!!!!!! I cleaned
stones out of my hands, knee, elbow and back! Ouch! The muscles are
tightening and i have a big ride (for me) scheduled tomorrow. Of all
    the things to happen today.

Oh my god! *Daydreaming* is an advanced skill in unicycling. Both
daydreaming and feeling very grumpy are not to be recommended when
unicycling due to the likelihood of resulting UPDs.

oh no i ride when i'm angry. i usually do massive 180s and go up big
staircases. That takes all the stress out. Then your so tired you cant
be angry,... and it feels good 🙂

my upd today was a 6foot gap static (as i love them) from on very small
wall to another (about 1ft high). So i went for it landed, my tyre
folded (it was my new kh05 rim and the tyre pressure was abit low) and
i got thrown off and fell on my ass luckily on the other side on the
grass. When i got up the two trials bikers i was with said :"wow thats
the first time i've seen u fall..." and i was like "WOT ?? we've been
riding for like 3hrs and u never seen me fall??" so he replied "well
not as good as that..." he was laughing alot while saying this.

  4. Couple of days ago I was riding around my usual loop of the reservoir,
when I came to three log steps. I've always paid these a lot of respect
and dismounted, walked down 'em, remounted and carried on.
This day I decide to give them a try.
The floor is hard packed mud with a top layer of dust.
I make it down the first step, down the second, and then the uni
decides to shoot out straight from under me and go on it's own journey
of discovery completely independant of me. It makes it fifteen feet
before it realises it's brain (I.E. me) is not in control anymore and
decides to hibernate in the biggest thorn bush you have ever seen.
I, on the other hand, have been propelled up and backwards, and I land
smack on the second step, kidneys first.
An elderly couple walk past as I'm still lying on the floor and ask if
    I'm alright.
It's all I can do to bite my tongue and not release a vile stream of
    unladylike epithets.
I hobble away a broken man.

  5. A couple of times, a long time ago I had something happen that really
panicked me at the time. I was fairly newly qualified to manage a
couple of circuits around the gym. Weight usually on the pedals.

Don't know how, but I ended up with *all* my weight on the seat, and
both feet completely off the pedals, and the unicycle sort of
freewheeling forward. No control at all. I knew I was about to come
off, and indeed I did, but had no way of doing it under any sort of
control. I didn't hurt myself, but the feeling of panic is one I
    still remember.

The dress in which I unicycled was not THAT short, but in retrospect, I
think that maybe the blue one would have been more appropriate to the
    terrain. Nao April 2007.

I did it once when practicing freemounting the N36, with one leg out
backwards, somewhat superman-like. Nothing terrible happened in the end
but I felt panicked and also felt it would be a really good trick if I
    could do it on purpose.

That's happened to me twice, in both cases not on a smooth flat gym
floor, but offroad on rooty and stony downhills.

    Absolutely terrified me.
