This may be an innocent error on your part, based on ignorance. It is NOT an
innocent error on the part of the people who supplied you with that version and
lied to you saying that it was the real thing. I may have been wrong in assuming
it was the ACLU who abused you in this way. I'd look into it if I was you.

It is an astounding level of irony you admirably quote Gandhi "I want freedom
for the full expression of my personality" but remove from the first amendment
part of the guarantee of that freedom that we enjoy.

I went back through the thread and realized my biggest error was using
Bill's name instead of Tom. (must have been a subconscious defense of
Bills stories.)

As far as the first amendment, I just wrote down what I remembered. So
I am guilty of ignorance in this case. I should have googled it. ;-)

So,I used the wrong persons' name and I chopped up the constitution.
When I do something wrong, I will admit it.

I am not so ignorant that I will defend or excuse mistakes I make.
Ignorance is bliss because it relieves us of responsibility for our bad
choices or bad behavior. I know enough people who never take
accountability, I don't want to be one of them.

The ACLU has a long great history and you've got something to be proud of. I am
a bit touchy about the omission of freedome of religion from the First because
it has been done very deliberately lately. My assumption that youhad cut and
pasted from something handy must've been wrong.
