thats what i was thinking a little also. I'm not too big on how much it
would actually weigh imo. I ride with a nimbus II frame, my entire uni
is probably the heaviest you can piece together.

I want the thing to be strong, and the lightest you can get with it
still being beefy strong.

I also think it should say 'GANSTA' on the side of the frame.

I actually wouldnt mind if it just looked really really cool, and was
really really strong, but wasnt too light. it's gonna be pretty light
right off the bat.

I dont think you should copy other ideas. Thats just stupid. since then
you'd have remarks like, "omg you have a stripped kh frame?" no, its a
(insert name of frame here)

I'll draw up some more plans today.

i'll draw something up today, i've got 5 hours of total boredom on the
beach today ... nothing like gangsta should be written on the side,
seriously guys, thats your life, not everyone who wants a frame wants
that on the side.(sorry its so harsh)

i'll give you a few good designs tomorrow or something, can you PM me
your email?

you know what, skrobo has a point with not having gangsta on my frame
idea.

It should just get to the point, be structuraly sound, and also very
light. Have it a break through statement also on the market.

But, i, myself, could go for some add points of funnyness...:D

you should call it.... Midget Hulk. Small but strong.

and green.

serious edit: I'll draw up plans for a trial frame i'd like, one that
meets my needs.

I agree except about the GANSTA part...

If you dont know what your talking about dont make out you do.

quick release clamps are bad. double or even single bolt clamps are
alot better. just take an allen key with you if you want to change the
hight. double bolt clamps are the best, holding the post tighter than
any others. You can never get quick release clamps tight enough, they
always alow your seat to twist. They also often having a bolt sticking
out. this is easy to bash your knees or legs on.

Im not convinced intergated clamps are best. I prefer the seperate
ones, im sure they probably work better as well as looking better (IMO)

Im not to sure about square tubing being stronger although I dont know
better. Why is round tubeing always used if box is better?

It seems all you care about is what it looks like, I think that should
be the last thing to worry about.

If you want the strongest uni you can get and dont care about the
weight why dont you just fabricate your own frame out of steel at a
fraction of the price.

If I could weld/machine ti I would make a frame exactly the same as the
triton sponge, I think that desigh is un-matched.

Very true, it would at least be in any frame designers best interest to
study the **** out of that frame before making their own.

It's funny that you mention that because I do have the design for it, I
just don't want to blatently rip off the frame. It is hard though to
think of a better design than the triton, that's why I'm soliciting
around asking for any and all help.

Like I mentioned before though, the cosmetics of this frame would be
the last thing we get to. I'm interested in the frame design first and
foremost, I need to be able to show the guy something on paper.

I thought about it for a while and an intergrated seat clamp would
probably be out of the question. I just don't see the justification in
doing so, sorry.

I'm glad that you guys are so interested in this idea. If I can show
him that the market is big enough to commit to this, I'm sure he'll do
it.

The KH frame is only £100 / $200, that's way less than any custom frame
with machined bearing holders is going to cost.
