I get the impression that that's a foreign concept to some people on this forum. Unfortunately (or fortunately :-) I've never had a problem with over-eating anything, so I can't relate to someone who has to eat 4 cups of potatoes in one sitting.
I forgot to add that I can't even imagine eating 4 cups of anything. The volume would just be too great. Again, that's probably just me though.

I am a former binge-eater and bulimic. Low carbing for me, was the catalyst to portion control. I am not a very strict low-carber anymore. And I do find controlling portions to be much easier. It helps control calories, and to boot, I get to eat pretty much anything I want.

So you've never sat down and had a bag of microwave popcorn? Ever?

When I was a teenager, I could eat 2 Big Macs in one sitting (but only the burgers, no fries, etc.) but that's the closest I've ever come to being a "big eater". :-) My typical dinner is about 6 oz. of meat, 3 cups of salad and 1/2 to 3/4 cup of an LC veggie. I often have trouble finishing it. So I guess I can eat 4 cups of food, but it's very light stuff.

Bev Ann is petite (she said 5' 2.5" and ~110 pounds). Her stomach very probably isn't capable of eating the volumes a larger person could.
