Can you believe it took over 12 weeks of austerity and working out to undo

McD's DOES serve salads and grilled items!!!

Food choices are far more important than the location of the food!

He also chose to force feed himself. How many people actually force food
into their guts untill they puke, then be surprised when they have gained
weight. Like somebody else said, the exact same bad results could have been
obtained from force feeding a vegetarian diet.

+ Fast Food Restaurants are not known for healthy selections. Have a
co-worker that picked up a nice salad (brown lettuce in all) at McDonalds
    the other day.

+ Any time he was asked if he wanted his order Supersized he was to say yes.
    And then eat it.

+ Take a look at the special features. Those french fries probably still
have not molded or degraded after a couple years.

Odd... I generally do eat fast food when I'm on a road trip (or in a
real hurry on a busy day with no time to cook) and the McD's salads are
just fine. Brown lettuce? I'd have gotten my money back. ;-)

If you are low carbing, you can get the burger and toss the bun, and
avoid the high fat dressins, skip the french fries or onion rings and
order milk or fruit juice instead of soda or shakes.

+ LOL, I have to try that and go into McDonalds and say "I'll have your
    Healthy Food."

It's not as hard as you may think. ;-)

Here is a menu website with nutritional values.

    http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.menuitems.index.html

This item is actually pretty decent and close to something you might
make at home. Hold the mayo and you are much better fat-wise. A bit high
in sodium and I'd personally toss the bun as I'm avoiding starch:

    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=5967

This also is not too bad, and you can cut more fat, again, by holding
    the tartar sauce:

    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=5926

I see they have chicken breast strips, but they ruined any value they
had by breading and deep frying them. :-P The sandwiches are a better
    deal nutritionally.

Their salads look like most of them are pretty good!
Cut back on the dressings to cut back even more on the fat and calories.

    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=10070
    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=10068
    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=10066

These salads look HUGE too and would probably easily last me for 2 meals.

Forget any of them with the "crispy chicken" as you are once again being
faced with deep fat fried breading.

You'd have to be very selective with the breakfast items.
Maybe a bagel and some scrambled eggs.
But, that's a given even at home! No bacon or sausage thank you. ;-)

Here are some perfectly acceptable desserts:

    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=4148
    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=4149
    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=37

There are more if you want to look.

    And to drink:

    http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=10153

Etc., but I'd just have unsweetened ice tea or ice water.

So as you can see, there ARE some "healthy" menu items at MacDonalds!

    The movie was [censored]. <G>

    That's just stupid! Blech!

The scene in which he barfed was early in the movie, and was due to his not
having the typcial American cast-iron gut from year's of eating supersized
[censored]. He ordered a typcial super-sized meal, that many ordinary Americans
eat every day (double cheeseburger, large coke, large fries). But, he was a
pretty healthy guy and his system simply rebelled due to the onslaught of
grease in his gut. By the end of the month, his system had been "trained"
(like so many others in this country) to handle the massive influx of
sugars, fats, and sodium without triggering the puke reflex.

    Ok... ;-)
But I'd like to see McDonalds offer to make their OWN documentary using
a couple of really fat people, and have them order only the salads,
    yogurts, ice tea, etc.

I get your point (and I'm glad to see "supersize" go bye bye for a
number of reasons) but the thing is, JUST eating at McDonalds every day,
if you make good food choices, is not going to do to you what it did to
him. McDonalds is not inherently (sp.?) evil, but after perusing that
menu website, well over 1/2 their menu items are!

So, what do you think of those fat kids in New York that were trying to
sue McDonalds for their obesity and ill health?

Sure, but most people go to McDonald's for their standard fare. I worked at
McDonald's as a teenager, and I can vouch that there is a core customer base
who eat the majority of their meals there. I saw the same people eat
breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. Big Macs and Quarter Pounders outsell
salads at least 2 to 1. Trust me, you're not supposed to push the salads.
You're supposed to push the supersize fries and milkshakes and pies.

McD's DOES serve salads and grilled items!!!

Food choices are far more important than the location of the food!

It's really a bunch of [censored] when you think about it...
He chose to eat the unhealthy items on the menu.

Uhhh...no. He ate every single item on their menu at least once, not

intended effect - McD's ended their practice of supersizing.

    GG

    Ok...

I agree with Roger...they should sue their parents. As for the suit against
McD's...it should be thrown out of court, and they should be forced to pay
court costs for clogging up the system with this nonsense.

You'd have to be very selective with the breakfast items.
Maybe a bagel and some scrambled eggs.
But, that's a given even at home! No bacon or sausage thank you. ;-)

A sussage patty at McD has less than 200 calories and is perfectly fine
on a LC diet. I'd never eat a bagel ANYWHERE.

Ditto here and I agree, but I was also posting for those not low
carbing. :-) I avoid bagels also for two reasons. High in carbs AND
    high in sodium!

But they are usually pretty low fat.

One nice thing about strict low carbing, (I try to keep carbs to under
20 grams per day) is that fat is not as much of an issue.
I can actually eat egg yolks. ;-d

There is an article on the web somewhere about a lady who lost 10 lbs
while eating ONLY at McD. It can be done and it ain't so hard.

    'zactly!

No food is inherently evil. People just need to learn to make good
choices. Heck, what's to stop someone from going to the local store and
eating only cookies every day for a month? Should the local store
    stop selling cookies?

Or get sued for making one obese? <G>

    Snackwells come to mind......
Idiots think "low fat = low calorie = healthy" but nobody ever said to
eat the whole damn box! IMHO (and this really is just a personal
opinion) sugar is FAR worse for you than most fats!

But, I cook with olive oil too, not lard. ;-)

    Yep! ;-)
I think if more people doing stupid trivial lawsuits were liable for the
court costs, there would be fewer of them!

And I think that case was initially thrown out of court, or is it still
ongoing? I've not kept up with it.

You could eat only vegetables and put on the amount of weight, with the

Come on, gman, this is <<joni>>'s month. You were supposed to wait until May
