Is that a point worth making? No. Why? Because no one can define what a
"typical" meal ought to be, Gary. A very active person might not have
gained any weight. A 90 lb woman might have gained weight eating 1/3 of
what he ate. How can anyone be expected to determine what everyone can eat
to maintain weight. That's why McD menus have OPTIONS - you don't have to
order any "typical" meals, you can simply make your own. And you don't need
to eat there every meal. It's just silly. I can tell you a zillions ways
to gain weight really fast.
It's been a while since I saw it, but wasn't there a point in the movie
where the doctor told him to order the water or diet soda instead of
regular soda because he was eating like 2500 extra calories per day?
Instead he chose to drink 2 supersize sodas (some 88 oz, totaling about
1100 calories per day... in SODA!).
Is it any wonder? The guy felt like [censored] and kept forcefeeding
himself... isn't it any wonder his health suffered? Why is that a
surprise?
