You can download DietPower from www.dietpower.com. It's the only
program on the market that can guarantee reaching a goal weight on a
target date, because it monitors your metabolic rate as you log your
foods, exercise, and weight, and adjusts your calorie budget
accordingly. Besides calories in 11,000 foods, it tracks 32 other
nutrients, as well as calories burned in exercise. When you buy, ask
for a student discount.

it is his own website, but he is not hiding that fact ...
My newserver didn't pick up the originating post, hence it looked like a
faked response. Google does show it so I guess I do owe Tdunkle an apology.Life's too short to count calories IMO.

I hadn't spotted that! Not much wonder it wasn't on my machine.
Yep. Spam, spam, spam and more spam.

Leafing through rec.running, I read a message from timdownie2003

In defense of dietpower (not that it needs any), the software did help me
to lose 80 lbs by allowing me to easily track all my nutrient levels and
exercise. I started with DietPower in August '03 (245 lbs), lost 80 lbs
by March '04 (165 lbs). I've been maintaining at ~165 lbs ever since.
Just google rec.running and you'll see numerous posts from me about how
effective it was. I pretty much stopped posting about my weight loss,
since most of the regularys are probably tired of hearing about it. I
keep those posts to atl.support.diet.Nonetheless, I am a little put off by tdunkle's post. I really hate to
see him shoot himself in the foot like that. I've probably advertised
more for DietPower on rec.running than any other poster in history. We
are certainly spam-aware on this group, if not a little trigger happy.
