  1. Here is a picture of me with the bike outside the youth hostel in
    Suzhou.

    http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/teflchinalife/vwp?.dir=/&.dnm=Marian+in+Suzhou.jpg&.src=gr&.view=t&.hires=t

The bikes behind me are the hostel's bike's-for-rent.

I rode around Suzhou city on Monday and took the bus back to Shanghai
    Monday night.

At the Master of Nets Garden 网师园 I had a bit of a fight because
they refused to put it in their office and wanted me to leave the bike
out front in the non-guarded parking area. A few flat out refusals
later on my part (plus walking into the garden with the bike over my
shoulder) and they let me put it in a deserted inner courtyard next to
    the gift shop.

Outside the garden I had a cool experience when an Italian tourist
stopped me and grilled me "where did you get the bike, how much did you
pay, what is the frame made of ... etc etc" followed by translations
for a friend. About the only part of the Italian that I understood was
    "Shimano Sora."

The traffic assistants in Suzhou are absolutely insane when it comes to
trying to keep bikes out of the car lanes. Working brakes and really
good manueverability kept me from hitting any of them when they jump in
front of my moving vehicle but this really didn't seem like the
    brightest idea to me.

I get an error message when I click on the link, and I would like to see the
    photo.

Photo won't display. It is group members only perhaps?

    Try it now.

I posted the teflchinalife link because that isn't a group members only
.... however, the link got broken into two lines and went all wonky.

Still no luck, even after I signed into Yahoo. If nothing else, I guess you
know that someone is taking an interest in your posts.

Not working after logging into Yahoo with a valid ID. Maybe you could
just draw some stick figures and we could get the idea. =]

  8. OK...

I'm not going to be at home for the next couple of days so I can't ftp
into my website and put it there. Aaarrgh.

    Try this
    http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/teflchinalife/lst?.dir=/&.src=gr&.view=t
    Or this http://tinyurl.com/e4gxs
Or even http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TEFLChinaLife/ followed by the
    _photos_ link

  9. Sorry none worked. Nice try though. Maybe the commies are messin with

I'd guess that if a person is not a member of the Yahoo group called
TEFLChinaLife, the person will not be able to see the photo. Good luck
finding another way to post it.

  11. I'll be able to ftp in to my website tomorrow and put it up there.

Thing is, TEFLChinaLife doesn't require membership for anything except
posting so I figured photos wouldn't be a members only thing. I know
the other place where I have the picture (MarianInChina) is members
only for everything so I didn't even bother trying to post that link.
