Re-Setting FlightDeck

I don't think so. AFAIK, the only time the odometer is reset is when you remove/replace the battery,
which wipes out everything else too. That's been my experience. I just looked through the manual
again, and I can't find anything that suggests otherwise.

I just twent through the same procedure, except I pushed the AC button to reset everything.
Unfortunately this also means having to reset the wheel circumference and gearing.

BTW. When I was setting the wheel circumference I noticed that the measured distance i had
previously 2085 mm was not even close to the suggested distance for a tire and wheel of my size. The
manual suggested 2105 mm for a 700-23 tire, which is 30 mm more than the actual distance. Unless my
measurement was really off of course, but I don't think so. Has anybody else noticed this? Is it
just because I sat on my bike when measuring and the tables are for an unweighted wheel?

Whoops!!! That should of course add up to be a 20 mm difference, not 30. Although it is still just
about a 1% difference.

I came up with a 15mm difference between suggested and measured. 2100 measured vs. 2115 suggested
for 700 X 25 tires. I think tire profile can vary quite a bit so I don't use the suggestions from
the manuals on any computer.

Not that this level of accuracy is particularly important, but inevitably I'll get to the end of an
organized ride and someone will ask me what my computer says because they only have 49.7 miles and
it was supposed to be
50. They feel much happier if my computer is reading 50 and I can tell them that I calibrate it
with a weighted roll-out at the usual PSI.

Oh, and yeah, you gotta clear the damn thing of ALL settings just to reset total distance.

I had a similar error when I was configuring mine. I don't remember exactly, but at the time I
figured it was within the margin of error of my measurements. You'd have to measure very carefully
on a very smooth floor to do much better than that. Of course tire size isn't always accurately
stated, etc.
