I suppose that means they will offer a complete 36" geared unicycle?
Alternatively, they could sell the hub separately so that people can
build it in whatever they see fit.

Today (2 January) is the first day this year that is not the first day this year.

Based on the Schlumpf website they won't be selling the hubs without the
frames due to safety reasons. I'm wondering how good the hub will work
on a 36" wheel. The hubs are pretty narrow. Any thoughts?

Oh goody! I'm impressed with the level of feedback they give- I've had
all my emails answered promptly too.
Good to hear that a Coker Schlumph will be available. I might hold out
on getting one until then.

Oxfordrider- I personally prefer narrow hubs. The only time I think you
may need a wide hub is for an off-road Coker wheel- but unless you have
pretty strong legs I would guess an off-road Coker Schlumpf 1:1.5 is not
going to be very practical. I ride off-road on a std UDC hub in my
Coker wheel with no problems. I prefer the narrower Q-factor of UDC
hub, but I'm short and light and don't do 7ft drops on my Coker.

I also finally just got an email reply from Mr. Schlumph. He says he
will sell just the hub, but no earlier than next Summer.

Anyone figure out how much the import duties will add to the US$1300.
price???

If the uni-drive is priced similar to the high-speed or mountain-drive
it would be in the $500US range.

from the Harper Hub Coker.

I spent some time on Blue Shift over the holidays and can confirm JC's
observations in the linked thread. It is realy nice on the flats and
rolling hills to go 12-13mph at 100-110 rpm.
