How about a geared flywheel that rotates faster than the tire? It'd be
a little harder to get the wheel rolling from a stop, but once it's
going the ride would be a lot smoother! Plus, the added stability
would make those drops easier, no doubt. Turning would also be a lot
smoother.
Hey, I think I'm onto something! Hold the phone while I run out and
get a patent...
