I was just wondering how are you. Ihope that things are going better.

Me siento mucho mejor! Thanks for asking. Yesterday was my first day
running in 2 weeks. I've been walking, icing, stretching, massaging,
taking NSAIDS. Sunday and Monday as was able to walk at a 15:00/mi pace
without any pain, so I figured I was ready to give it a go. I only ran
for 3 miles, but no pain. It felt so good to be out doing my thing once
again. Today I have some DOMS from finally running after such a long
layoff, but I excpected that. I'll be taking it real slow, building up
my mileage again, looking towards new goals.

Phil - good news! I've landed in London and went to the Expo
yesterday. Impressive. Lots of stands, a few giveaways, and an
entertaining talk from "The Penguin". Saw a great play with Kevin
Spacey yesterday (National Anthems), and am off to the Imperial War
Museum and to check out part of the marathon course today!

When are you getting in to Boston?

    Take it easy.

    Anthony.

You saw Kevin Spacey in a play? I am SO jealous :-)

Best of luck to you, Anthony. I will try to follow your progress via
    internet.

I like Spacey but an old favorite of mine is James Earl Jones - a voice
that stands above most. Anyway I saw JEJ on Broadway(NYC) a few weeks
ago playing in "On Golden Pond." What a delight!!!!

  6. Good luck to you too Karen! Big weekend coming up.

And Kevin Spacey was tremendous. He has become the artistic director
of the "Old Vic" theatre (near Waterloo Station), and will be appearing
in "The philadelphia Story" starting next month I think.

    Anthony.

Sunday around 11:00 AM. I'll go to the expo and pickup whatever goodies
they'll let me have. I guess it would be cool to get a race number. At
least I made it that far.

Yes sir. Went on an easy 5 yesterday. Felt awesome. Perfect weather -
    upper 60s F 25% humidity, sunshine.

Did any easy 7 miles today. Felt good. Sine I don't have any more pain,
I've wondering if I should at least start the Boston Marathon. I'm
thinking about shooting for 13.1 miles, maybe just past Wellesley
College. I know they have DNF runner pickups at various points. But I'm
wondering if it would be feasible to have my wife meet me at Wellesley. I
could bring my cell and let her know where I've ended up.

Why bother jogging part of it when you might be tempted to run too far to
fast and could re-aggravate your injury. OTHO if you're really prepared to
jog it and are just doing it to soak up the unique atmosphere then why not.

That's what I was thinking. If she meets me at 13 miles, then I won't run
any farther than that. Maybe even less than that, if I'm not up to it.
