got her in a spare bedroom. The poor thing was wandering down Berry Road.
I found her on the way back from a quick shop. I will get her to the vet
tomorrow. She is a sweet thing. She seems grateful for anything. So now we
have Missy, Shelly, Raymond (whose family is supposed to pick him up today)
Hoot and the nameless kitty. She is a very odd color. Orange, black and
white. Someone has loved her. She is declawed and I'm guessing she's been
spayed. She is very snuggly and eats a ton of food. She is very fragile at
this point but I can build her up. So far, she has not bitten me, unlike
Hoot. Hoot is so strange, she gives these little 'love' bites but sometimes
they are big bites. Cats are strange animals, but I love 'em.Okay, how long before I introduce the new cat into the household. They all
know she is here. They sniff at the door. Maybe I should wait a couple of
weeks. I'm doing nothing else these days. I'm not sure what to do.Ob Food:
I have not even thought about it. I have 5 animals to feed. I'm thinking
pot roast and for breakfast some SGB. I may have to buy tuna for the
kitties. It has been a long time since Hoot has gotten tuna. She will be
the ultimate ingrate.
Bless you Michael for taking in this poor little kitty. Declawed means
that she had no defenses. Be sure to make sure she has her shots and
stuff. the vet or the humane society can scan her to see if she is
microchipped.
I have a soft spot for torties and calicos myself. My beloved and now
elderly Maya is a tortie (black and orange, no white). My household has
recently been increased by my taking in a sweet little abandoned kitten
with calico ears and a Siamese body. I thought the introduction would be
easy as Maya had stopped growling at Maggie under the door (kitten was in
my back bedroom for a week - occasionally let out when Maya was shut in
the office, or outside taking the air). However, there has been hissing and
drama as the old girl stands her turf. I will still bung the kitten in
the back room to give Maya a breather (and the kitten will be in there at
night for the foreseeable future).
I'm really getting used to the change of energy level ... Maya is fifteen
and mostly lies around the place sleeping. Maggie is fairly mellow for a
five-six month old cat (the vet looked at her teeth and pronounced her
adult canines in) but she's still a kitten.

face?
<http://www.rahul.net/clb/pix/rowr2.jpg> equal opp for Maya
ObFood: Maya is a bit off her feed, so I'll have to get her some baby
food chicken, some cat tuna from Trader Joe's, and call the vet about the
"calories in a tube" for her.
The kitten eats everything.
I've been working off a big pot of curried lentil soup* for lunch, but am
going to make some "soybean stuff"* and try apple pie with pastry made in
the food processor. I think I mentioned that I got a surprise gift of my
late grandmother's deep dish pyrex pie plates. I haven't had much energy
to cook because I am adjusting in to being back at work and the cats are
taking most of my evening time. I sit and read with Maya on my lap as she
stands her ground.
