  1. I used to be in retail sales, and felt much the same.
Now, as a white collar worker, I am constantly amazed at the poor level
of service given by retail and service employees, the condescening tone
many take all 365 days, and the poor product knowledge. On the upside,
since quitting fast food, my exposure rate has dropped.

If we have the "Be honest with customers day" can we just make it
"Honest on both sides of all service/retail transactions day." I think
    all could be enlightened.

-Hollywood, who is sure that at least 35% of customers turn their
brains off upon entering stores, but is also sure that 35% of service
employees turn their brains off regularly, and just collect paychecks.

Well, this idea of mine is coming from my experience working in a movie
theater. I'm super nice and helpful, even to the dumb ones. I just
pretend I'm acting in a play.

  3. The example I posted actually came from the finance person at a
dealership where we were buying a vehicle for our business the other
day. My hubby told him he had a better job than the salesman since he
was inside in air conditioning blah blah blah, then the finance guy got
started and told us some horror stories about customers, which in itself
was rude, (must have been having a bad day) but I did have to laugh when
he said that about the $70,000.00 car.
