what? Hoot is the only one showing stress. If I can get her settled
down and introduce the new cat, I would be happy. The dogs don't
care, it is Hoot that is mean. Missy and Shelly do not give a damned,
all they care about is snoozing territory.

Let me tell you right now that they will be VERY interested
in the new cat as soon as it's in sniffing distance. I
remember very clearly the day I introduced my 18 month old
Rottweiller to an 18 month old kitten/cat. They touched
noses (the dog was very curious about that "thing" and not
mean at all). The cat didn't like what she saw and
immediately leaped from lap to shoulder (leaving bloody claw
marks) on her way to clinging by all four feet (and
completley fluffed out) on the curtains.

I got a new "grandcat" today. It is most likely a "foster"
kitten (a feral kitten raised by humans, not mama), because
he's soooo lovable. He snuggles & purrs. I hold him like a
baby and he LOVES being held for a long time. DD (his
"mama"😉 says he doesn't let her hold him like that, so I
think a middled aged woman must have raised him.

Wooo Hooo! I suspect he'll be the "down stairs" cat once
he's allowed to roam because my husband likes him already.

Missy and Shelley were good. Hoot was rotten. I may just to murder

How many days has it been?

I have a new grandkitty that's been in the house for only 2
days and daughter wants to introduce him to the resident cat
already... I don't think it's a good idea because they both
do that low howl at each other.

I think she should let little kitty explore the house when
big kitty is outside and put him back in his "room" before
big kitty returns. That way big kitty can get used to little
kitty's scent w/o actually having to deal with the little
beast (he's a total sweetheart... he was listed as a "stray"
but the pound workers think he's a "foster cat" and we
believe it).

FYI: Big Kitty's name is Kingston and Little Kitty is Rio.

LOL I am a good cat-slave. My Persia has to eat special food to avoid
crystal oxolate bladder stones - I'd make sure she had the proper food to
eat and plenty of litter before I'd worry much about cooking for myself. I
can, and have, survived on Ramen noodles and store-brand 59 cent pot pies
before. My pets always come first 🙂

Actually I heard about Feliway on rpca where there are many multiple cat
households and people always seem to be introducing a new feline, whether
for a permanent home or fostering. They swear by it.

I want to see pics of Michael's new kitty!

Well, if you can't see Michael's new kitty right now, you can see our new
babies. PeeWee and Peanut were dumped roadside along with their dying
mother and rescued by a dear friend of mine who knew we'd love to have
them. She hand nursed them to vitality before handing them over to us.

Both are tuxedos. Peanut is a complete bobtail and PeeWee has a cute
little three inch stub tail that stands straight up.

It was only a few days before both were happily adopted by our alpha male,
Mr. Bailey. They sleep together and groom each other and play into the
night.

Millie, our elderly matriarch still has reservations, but allows both
PeeWee and Peanut to share naps with her on the bed as long as they don't
"touch"!

Their momma is a stray and she had a litter of 5 in our shed. We gave 1
away, two kitties disappeared and we ended up keeping two of them. It's
very entertaining to have kitties around again.
