More jerks in Usenet than in RL (I don't think of Peter Marengo as a
jerk, fyi). I think it has to do with the PITF factor (no one can give
you a Punch In The Face on usenet). Maybe ther jerk:normal ratio is the
same as RL, just people are more openly jerks on usenet.

Xena is NOT posting to ASDLC. He/he is using one of the new commercial
internet sites that have bootleg-linked ASDLC to their website "chatrooms"
which are a front for selling their products. Go back a week or ten days
ago, you can find the threads pertainting to this.

Thanks, Cheri. I got a little perturnbed because the OP is one of the new
spate of people who have hijacked ASDLC through links to their commercial
web "chat." He/she is posting through one of those sites, not directly to
ASDLC. Look at the e-mail address, it's the giveaway. There are several
others -- maybe the same person -- using the same M.O. They post a very
simple question or statement as a "newbie" then their handpuppet replies
further down in the thread with a link to their commecrial website to sell
their products. There are several others in the past 24 hours or so
posting again as they did a week or so ago. Elanger, P.T. and Nightdweller
are three more who posted right after this Xena.
