De gustibus non disputandem. All of us eat at places both high and low. Personally, I can't stand Golden Corrals, so that thread didn't interest me--but I *do* love the occasional trip to Taco Bell. And for those of us who DO like biscuits, this may be interesting.

I have fond childhood memories of going to the Biscuitville on Wake Forest Road with my father for breakfast. It must of have been in the mid to late 1970's before every fast food chain on the block had biscuits on their breakfast menu. It was a real treat.
I still enjoy going to Biscuitville every now and then. When I go I inevitably get either a fried bologna or smoked sausage biscuit. Neither of which can be found at your local McDonald's or Hardees fast food chain.
Don't underestimate Biscuitville.

Yep. I remember going to the Red Barn and being disappointed when it closed. I don't remember very much about their food however. I remember them giving out toys or trinkets of some kind with the kids meals.

The Red Barn was a fast food hamburger chain. They had, at one time, two franchises in Raleigh. The former Red Barn location on Wake Forest Rd in Raleigh is now a Biscuitville restaurant.
Their menu/product line was similar to the Roy Rogers fast food hamburger chain.
Their market niche was (for a while) between that of the Burger King fast food hamburger chain and that of the Hardees fast food hamburger chain.
The Red Barn chain is no longer in business. Hardees chain is very close to being no longer in business.
