Kite festival ?
No, field archery.
Did you beat Himself this time?
No, because he wasn't there. However, Thomas increased his score from 33 (he's a beginner) to 95, and Catharine and I both got PBs as well. All in all a successful weekend. The intrafamily battle takes place in Worthing next weekend. -- / Fran O(<|={ \
Email coming soon - I've been away for the weekend and got back late. After the heat and lots of driving from here to Bedford and back I'm totally knackered.
And after another weekend away (still knackered)... I've done it. I've been and gone and done it. I am now the proud owner of a Nikon Coolpix 7600. It's about a third the size of my Fuji 2800, and about three times as 'good'. Oh my. -- / Fran O(<|={ \

That was my 2nd choice of camera, Fran, I wish I had bought it instead of the Canon S70. Th S70 has a full sliding lens cover, which I keep accidently closing when I take a pic, thereby, switching the camera off.
I'll have to learn to use my hands again! Grrr........

So far I'm pleased with it - I had it with me over the weekend to take photos and generally play with. A little cricket kept me company in the family tent, so I took some macro shots of it and a couple weren't too bad. I find though that the colours are far too vivid, like a TV turned up too high, so I'll have to read the book of words to see if I can tone it down a tad. What I really can't get over though is the size, or lack of it, of the thing. Honestly, it's minute! -- / Fran O(<|={ \
