I have to respectfully disagree. I weigh every morning because if I
only weighed on Sundays, for example, I can bet that on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday I wouldn't be quite so careful about what I eat
as I am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I learned that nasty trick
when on Weight Watchers several years ago. Our leader admitted to
weighing on Tuesday evenings at 6, then her DH would pick her up and
they would go pig out completely at some buffet. Then she would be
"good" the rest of the week, and she still lost weight by the next
weigh-in. I think for me anyway, weighing every day keeps me honest.
And during maintenance, I can catch a couple extra pounds creeping back
on before it becomes 10 pounds, like it did with a friend of mine when
    he quit weighing himself.

Those daily fluctuations don't bother me too much, I know they're bound
to happen; an extra two pounds in the morning is NOT fat, because I
didn't eat an extra 7000 calories the previous day. To each his/her
own. I prefer to weigh daily, but it's not the "wrong" way.

  2. Weighting everyday was and still is a better way for me too. It gave me
a better snapshot of how certain foods affect me(especially in the
beginning) and it was a motivational tool also. I could see daily &
weekly weightloss averages. As a maintenance tool it helps me stay in
    check so to speak.

To paraphrase Yoda, spam does not make one great. However, a surprising
number of people prefer infamy to obscurity, and would rather be hated
than unknown. Some of those people take up spamming as a way to gain the
notoriety that their warped psyches crave.

I agree. I lose so slowly that if I didn't weigh every day, I might
miss hitting a new low and think I hadn't lost anything. Usually, I
get to a low weight and then the scale bounces between that and a
couple of lbs higher until it settles down a little, then eventually
moves lower. It's very motivating to see a new low weight. When I see
it, I CLAIM it :-) That's because, like Jen, I know I didn't put on
FAT overnight, so the low weight is the TRUE low weight. I liken it to
straining food in a colander -- what's left after the extraneous stuff
    drains off is what counts.

Bunkster is obviously very short. Everything goes over his head...

    It's very sad, actually.

Actually, I was wondering why would you even care about their education?
The only reason I used a question mark was for your benefit JC. Short
and simple, I know how you struggle with long sentences.
