My bike runs on bananas. Oh, and 2 bidons (1.5 litres) of gatorade
per 100km. Oh, and a packet of snakes, 2 musili bars, a muffin, a
latte, and yep, that's about it. And maybe a 3 hour nap afterwards.

I find out on Saturday what mileage I get out of 150km. Hopefully
just some extra BBQ sausages.

Probably Off-Road diesel fuel. The same fuel but with a different dye
package(color), and is taxed much less. Hefty fine if caught using it
on-road.

Just to keep things on topic with the subject line, I'm singing in my best
Tina Turner voice (and I do it well): "We don't need another hero! We

OB Food: I did an experiment. Shook half the the rounds of yellow
crookneck squash in the cornmeal/flour mixture kili suggested in a bag,
without an egg wash. Shook the other half with the Zatarain's lightly
spiced fine cornmeal mixture, again without an egg wash. Got the oil in the
pan hot and pan fried both samples. Tasted both. Verdict: Both are good,
but I prefer the lightly spiced Zatarains coating. The Zatarain's offsets
but does not overwhelm the natural sweetness of the squash. I will say,
though, kili's husband's treatment of the squash is the one I've encountered
in most in the "home cooking" restaurants in the southern U.S. Second to
that would be battered and deep fried like onion rings. Since I don't have
a deep fryer and don't want one, that's a moot point.
