The decision to rebuild, rather than dismantle, Germany's large companies in
the immediate postwar years was a considered decision of the Allies.
Restoring the country to economic independence was deemed best for Europe
and the world, particularly with the onset of the cold war and the threat of
the "Eastern Block" nearby. A determined effort was made to weed out the war
criminals as a part of the process. Now you want to claim that the
