aspects of Laetrile.
If you have then I will gladly read them.(Why do people actually assume that because this thread is about Laetrile
it's about 'curing' cancer?)
In humans with respect to cure then a simple YES it failed.
There are arguments about these studies which is more of a grumble in the
World Without Cancer.Conspiracies exist - they are fact and have been proven.
The 'Vitamin Cartel' is a classic example, which is well documented.
This shows that the named drug companies value money is a higher priority
than peoples health.
When that sinks in it opens up many different avenues.
Are these people 'dealing in disease' rather than attempting to 'cure'
disease?
That's an important factor - some people would have you not question these
people and blindly follow them.
And please don't quote me as this being my number one argument for
believingQuoted message said:blindly in any conspiracy theory, which is illogical.
AnthThe "vitamin cartel" was a case of price fixing by two manufacturers. That's
a LONG way from an industry-wide conspiracy to suppress alternative medicine
therapies. And it's a long way from "dealing in disease."--Rich
Rich, you fail to realize that in the alt-med world, vitamins are like angels,
amino acids are like saints, & herbs are martyrs. Price fixing in this arena
is not merely a crime of capitalistic collusion, it is HERESY!
This, in Anth's mind, is sufficient cause to indict those people on charges of
GENOCIDE in the WORLD COURT! (Sorry to shout, but without the drama, there's
not too much to Rath & Anth's case)
I wonder if he knows that day-care center owners (and many other businesses)
often base their rates on what their competitors charge. I've known of massage
therapists that agreed on a certain rate in order to preserve their livelihood.
In the vitamin "cartel" example, this went way too far and was criminal
activity. They got caught, as they should, and they were punished.
My point is that no SANE individual would equate the act of those two companies
with GENOCIDE. Any person who could generalize from this incident a belief
that almost everyone in Healthcare (and related fields) is in a conspiracy to
deny, deprive, bilk, and kill their own families, friends, collegues & selves
is Insane. Credulousness & ignorance alone are necessary, but insufficient to
explain this, IMHO.
