game where you had to search this haunted house for this princess. In
order to find her you ended up constructing a map of every floor of
the house, and looking for hidden rooms based on where your maps had
gaps. Ah, good times. :-)

I had to write my own programs using Basic.lol Then save them to a tape
recorder(no harddrives back then). I remember saying(years later when I
got my first 20 *meg* harddrive), I'll never need anything bigger. rofl!

Yes, well to some people, computer skills may be something as simple as
posting emoticons, to others it might be the ability to code in most
languages, high level and processor level, the ability to actually
repair, modify, and improve hardware at board level (not just swap
boards and assemble systems) as well as having thirty-plus years
experience in IT and software development.

Guess which camp I favour? <g>

for interrupts, to write a basic program that handled two users.

BTW The PDP-11 rocked.

I took a class where we used punch cards and Fortran IV, we fed the cards
into a reader then came back the next day to pick up our printout.

Hey thanks for the link! I found my 1st computer, the Tandy Color computer
2. I had 4 huge disk drives, upgraded 64k Ram, Rainbow dot matrix printer,
12" color monitor. It was way ahead of its time.
