YMMV but as for me, with such short distances, I don't get the same
avgHR if I run 4 laps or 6 laps.
But you may have had another goal by doing so.
What I understood from the "Hadd training" lore, (that Anthony kindly
pointed to me), is that for marathon training, there is no need to do
speed sessions, only to build a strong aerobic base, slowly @ 70% MHR,
and do some faster runs @ 85% MHR for 10miles.
This will steadily rise one's LT.
The value you get @ HR:170 (MHR ~ 193, ie. 88%) in the test you did is
supposed to be the pace you'll sustain for the marathon...
One is supposed to repeat the test every 6 weeks, the time required for
mitochondrial growth (says Hadd), hence higher LT.
Does this fit with your marathon pace ? (I remember you talking about
maybe running a marathon, but I don't recall you did)

fit the linear model gave me -- R^2 = 0.9981. Basically a perfect straight
line.
anyway it sounds interesting, and I'll probably try it myself... if not
the whole training, at least the test!
