valuable (albeit coerced) contribution to medicine over the decades.
Despite all attempts to eradicate them they continue to flourish.

Rat [censored], despite the similar nomenclature, are in reality an
entirely different species - Dorkus rampantus. They too have earned
the wrath of mankind for their malicious and destructive behaviors.
Unlike their erstwhile namesakes they have yet to provide any
substantive contribution to humankind.
