I agree with you, but here's a situation....
My mother was always the cook. She believed in low-fat and actually put
dirt in my food when I was a kid to make me resistant to disease. That was
her belief.
She's put on a bit of weight now (just a bit heavy, not obese), and I've
convinced my parents of the benefits of the low-carb lifestyle. My parents
are both in their seventies, and my mother has Alzheimers. And they forget
(especially my mother). My dad is fairly new to cooking, and tends to
prefer the slow cooker. It's something he can do.
Neither of them eats less and exercises more. That's just their situation.
They do what they can do.
That's a snapshot of my parents and my life, and I understand it. I also
understand that everyone else has a unique life. We all know that your
philosophy about eating and exercise is best for everyone. Most everyone
here knows that for one reason or another, this is difficult or impossible
for some, and that's why we're here.
