I think it would be good. Every once in a while I get a hankerin for
some uni vids, and this would be a good place to keep them all. Many
forums have a media section to keep peoples pics and vids out of the way
so you can't see them if you don't want to and can see them exclusively
if you want to.

Edit: But note that your poll is really crappy. "Yes, I am for it or
opposed." "No, I am not for it or opposed." Those are the two choices?

Bevan, whoa, harsh. I agree with all of your points, though. It was kind
of an agressive reply. Oh, and I think your own English teacher died
before he (or she) taught you to spell "etiquette" and to capitalize
"English," may he (or she) rest in peace. I had trouble with "edicate,"
initially thinking you were talking about educating forum users before I
inferred the meaning of the "almost" word from its use in context. I
wonder how Klaas will handle that one.

Accurate thread titling has always been a stickler for me. I find it
annoying to see threads with titles like "need help", "what color",
"can it be saved", "which uni", and other vague topics.

I don't believe there is a separate forum required for videos. I think
it would only contain vague titles for the threads and links within
them. Linking to the gallery seems OK right now.

Brock, did you see Florian when he was in Vancouver?

Harper, we unfortunately did not have the timing for a big club welcome
for Florian. I think Kris worked hard to have a chance to meet briefly
with Florian yesterday but that's about as far as the Vancouver contact
with the geared uni guy went.

Good thing we have you close by when we need some face to face geared
uni contact. Hey, btw, that reminds me, now that I'm finally in the
swing of riding regularly you seem pretty scarce in these parts. Hope I
didn't scare you away! 😄

Harper, you are correct. I am quite fluent in spoken English (damn well
beter be too, since my Spanish and Russian are [censored]), but when it comes
to the written language, I really stumble over the ones derived from
French words. I was reading Communist Manifesto the other day (really
good toilet reading when you are stuck on the john with no other decent
literature), and it was about 6 pages into it before I noticed bourgeios
was actually "Boozhwa (phonetic attempt at spelling. And speaking of
Russian, I have noticed that it is far easier to spell that word
phonetically in Cyrillic than in English.)." As for my capitalization
(or lack thereof) of English, I do know to capitalize English, but a
lazy pinky combined with 4 years of English teacher apathetic about my
punctuation until the final draft have left me to sacrafice a small bit
of gramar in the name of faster typing speeds.

And Harper, now I'm really off topic, but if you wish to know, my
English teacher is alive and well, but you are still partly correct,
since the part of her brain that deals with basic grammar, punctuation,
and handwriting must've been lost in a car crash. She just already
expects us to know the stuff, which is pretty daring since we're
products of the American school system.

I'm sorry, but I think this poll is somewhat irrelevant. You, like
everyone else except a select few, have no authority on this forum.
Therefore, while a thread like this may serve to call the
administrator's attention to an issue, it cannot actually accomplish
anything. _It_is_not_important._ If Gilby were contemplating adding a
forum specifically for videos and posted a poll to see whether most of
the forum users would appreciate such a change, it would be significant
since it could result in actual changes, and hence should be titled
"important." Otherwise, this thread belongs in a different forum, and
requires a different title.

I do not personally care whether such a revision is made or not, but
remember, if another forum were to be established for videos, your video
posts would not be read by those who subscribe to the RSU newsgroup, but
do not read the forum. As a result, your videos would receive less
circulation, which is certainly not your intention when you propose a
new forum.
