I'd like to bake some carrots in the oven. I could just bake them as-is
for an hour, but does anyone have a recipe to flavor them up a little?
If you're not afraid of butter and sugar... Boil them on top of the stove
in just enough water to make a nice syrup using white sugar. Drench .. er,
uh, add some butter and some brown sugar and some spices like a bit of
cinnamon, scant pinch of nutmeg, a scanter pinch of clove, a drop of
vanilla,and/or allspice, etc. You can put them in a baking dish to finish
them off and hold them.
I know you didn't ask, but... Have you considered sweet potatoes? Wrap
each in foil, lay on cookie sheet, bake until soft. Remove foil, cut open
like baked white potato, drench ..er, uh.. dollop butter, enjoy. yum!
Sweet potatoes were made for pork (It's some kind of a law! <g>😉
