Hard to say. You'll have to visit them again a few more times to
    know for sure.

Aye, but that's where my problem is. I'm without the vehicle for
transportation. Now that it's warming up I need to restart my fungus
gardening project. I had put it on hold when our lovely spring-like
winter suddenly plunged into polar hell at the end of January.

Cold, wet springs are perfect ergot growing weather.

Hell, it's already summertime, here. It's 79F here right now. In March!
It was colder than [censored] a week ago. What happened to spring??

What have you got growing in your refrigerator? Scrape it out and
substitute it for ergot in one of Dr. Hoffman's syntheses. Something
    should work.

That's a little scary. I've had a serious case of food poisoning before,
and it's not something that I'm in any hurry to relive.

Look for something in the salad crisper, something in the fungus
    family,
something fuzzy and blue or green. Avoid anything growing on meat or
in bulging cans (that's botulism). Vodka will extract the alkaloids
    while
    killing all the nasty bugs.
