I never really suffered from cold hands and usually found I'd be warm
enough wearing polyurethane (Meraklon) undergloves under my usual
fingerless track mitts. The undergloves are usually about £5 from
'outdoors' shops. They tend only to come in one size but were stretchy
enough to stop my fingers swimming.

Madison make fleece gloves in x-small which are pretty tiny. Wiggle have

Specialized do women's-specific kit, including gloves. If they don't have
any
specific *winter" full fingers then get the summer ones and wear a pair of
thin thermal liners underneath. That's what I do in winter and it works
fine.

I got a nice pair of Specialized full fingered - but not sure if I would
wear them in below 5 temperatures (that's Celcius for you). For those
temperatures, I got a pair of Izumi (something) that might be for men, but
do the job for me.

And talking of gloves, I bough a pair of women's summer gloves only a couple
of months ago, and now they STINK!!!! Why the hell is that, I don't know!

wash your hands >10 times a day so don't notice any sweaty smell.
Imagine how your shoes would smell if you'd worn them without socks for
as many hours as you've worn those gloves. That's why...

Too late now, but does anyone know of mitts with extra thick gel palms?
Most of the ones on sale in shops these days are barely padded. The best
I could find were a pair of Altura Airstreams, but I remember mitts I
bought about 10 years ago that had much more padding on the palm. They
might have been Trek, but I lost them and can't remember.

I think the smelly Spenco mitts I've just washed for my SO (my
hand-me-downs) have been discontinued. They are rather nice...

Wait for cycling gear to come round again at Aldi, it'll be winter stuff
next time. I bought both padded cycling gloves and a thinner plain
Thinsulate pair from them last year, in ladies medium. I have small hands;
in the past I've had to buy children's sizes to get cycling gloves to fit.
The small women's size at Aldi could be just what you need.
