actually, bamboo is doable, it's very strong and very light. I believe
you could ask 'Calfee Design' (http://www.calfeedesign.com/) about
making one (They did do a carbon fiber frame for Scot Cooper)

really, at the point, the difference between weight and strength is
good. but, like any person whos gone through a metal tech class, when
steel gets stronger, it will just end up snapping it. Like, if you heat
treat a peice of steel a lot, if you hit it on the ground, the edge isnt
gonna bend, its gonna just snap and chip.

those bike frames have bracing and stuff to make it stonger. a uni made
of carbon fiber wouldn't hold up very well. it would be dang strong and
dang light but it would crack.
