For what it's worth I think it is more dangerous when one can just get a toe down than the extremes of not being able to get a foot down or being able to put an almost flat foot down. You are much more likely to get a cramp in the calf if you have to flex the foot to put a toe down.

On both my bikes I can just about get my toe down when stopped. This is OK when stopped for a few moments. However, when I realise I will be stopped for a longer period I unclip my other foot, get off the saddle and put both feet on the ground.
One of these days I'll learn to stop with both feet clipped in. T-I-M-B-E-R.
