Don't know which newsreader you are using (I could find out with mine, properly set up, but don't care to). However, with Thunderbird, my default reader, you can not only block the troll, but the entire ensuing thread. I filter both for "From" and "Subject".
Why not just filter the entire newsgroup. That way you will never be disturbed by anything. Better yet, try to only talk to yourself. That is what I did for most of my life and it really works - not a single idiot ever to bother me.

Alas, my many fans will not permit me to retire. They insist on hearing from me on a daily basis. Do not envy those like me who are Great. It is more often than not a burden. Oh, to be a humble nobody like you cc. Yea, it is a fate greatly to be desired. Then I could truly rest from my labors.
