federal government study of AIDS and Prostitution for 13 months as the
primary interviewer. Knowledge doesnt get much more first hand, than
that.
Are you not aware that GC infections of the throat are just as common as
vaginal infections?

would YOU use condoms to prevent GC or any other kind of sexually

The exceptions are the hard core druggies. One 20 year old cocaine
addict/hooker told me, "Honey, what I have to worry about is getting 500
bucks TODAY, to feed my veins, not some damn disease that might kill me
five years from now. Get real."
As I fairly patiently explained, addicts who become hookers to support
their habit are but a tiny handful compared with the vast numbers of
professional sex workers who DONT walk the streets, dont use IV drugs
and damn well do insist on the use of condoms for all sex acts,
including oral.
Im willing to believe you worked on the vice squad. I expect 90% or moe
of the hookers you met WERE the small minority of street
walkers/addicts. You and I both know, the higher levels, escort
agency/massage parlor/independent call girls dont get busted nearly as
often, mostly because they dont 'show" like the street women do. They're
much less visable. (and their customers are much more "important" How
embarrasing to bust a thousand dollar an hour call girl who blows the
mayor on a weekly basis)
Streetwalkers represent maybe 20-30% of the sex industry, the down and
out side, of women who arent even "real" prostitutes, but addicts
willing to steal the john's wallet if possible, or turn the trick if
not.
Junkies are junkies and behave like junkies. What amazes me is any man
stopping to pick a streetwalker up, knowing there's a good chance he'll
get ripped off. Even more amazing is the man who picks up a
streetwalker and does NOT insist on using a condom of his own.
FYI, the female prostitute is NOT the hetero AIDS link. For one thing,
while it's very easy to infect a female, it's very dificult for that
female to pass HIV to a male. The semen recipient is the one infected.
On a second study I participated in, of male prostitutes, we found that
80% of "customers" male prostitutes serve are hetero, married men.
Interestingly, these "hustlers" also claim to be hetero---only
prostituting for money for drugs. Basically, we have thousands of
'straight" married men picking up male hustlers for quick, anonymous
sex, often without the use of condoms, both parties convinced of their
own heterosexuality and equally convinced AIDS is a gay disease. Since
most hustlers are extremely young, this explains their ignorance. What
explains the married man's?
Of those customers willing to be interviewed, their reply to the "Why
do you frequent male prostitutes?" is...."It's quicker and easier than
finding females and a lot cheaper, too. Plus....this way, if my wife
asks if Ive been unfaithful with another woman, I can honestly say,
"no".
I often heard, "Sex with a hustler is the same as
masturbation....nothing to feel guilty about. Sex with a woman....would
be cheating on my wife."
If you were a cop, you know that hustlers dont get busted often---mostly
because what cop wants to pretend to be gay?
In 1986,they virtually eliminated female streetwalkers in Atlanta,
harrassing them right out of the city, while one block over, on Cyprus
avenue, a hundred boys from 13-21 plyed their nightly trade with
impunity.
HIV results for the females were ONE sero positive female of the 227 I
sampled from Feb. of 1986 thru January of '87.. Of the male prostitutes,
over 20 % were sero positive to HIV in 1986.
The one sero positive female, BTW, did happen to be a streetwalker and
IV addict.

Escort agencies and career call girls dont use/rolerate the
use of cocain, speed, heroin.
Tracks are not necessary with these drugs.
Agencies dont hire them.
Agencies will get rid of anyone sick, as soon as they learn the girl is
sick. Who knows how many people they infected before the agency learns
she sick.
I don't know where you got this information but it is wrong.
