  1. All of your BS is simply beside the point. If you go hunting or are
around areas where others are hunting there's a chance that you'll get
shot. Your pretense that mistakes should never happen is stupid on the
face of it. Accidents do happen all the time and to the BEST of us.
Even I've been known to make a mistake now and again.

But go ahead and post another fifteen citations from people who weren't
there about how Cheney did everything wrong. I sort of like it when you
do because it makes a perfect example of why the Democrats aren't going
to continue losing more and more voter share until something happens
and they go back to being John F. Kennedy "Liberal" Democrats again.
The big laugh is that John F. Kennedy couldn't even belong to today's
Democratic Party. Nor would he want to.

Even now, after essentially everything Joe McCarthy claimed has been
shown to be true, Liberals still scream obsenities at his merest
mention. And of course you DID know that John Kennedy complimented him
and Robert Kennedy was his assistant?

Oh, yeah and just as a P.S. there is no such thing as an "accident"
when the cause is reckless, stupid, or criminal behavior. In this case
Cheney's falls into the reckless, and stupid IMO.
That's like giving drunk drivers a free pass for killing someone, or
running someone down while talking on a cell phone. Their excuse
usually seems to be "It's OK I can handle it. I can drive.", and they
believe their behavior is acceptable. That's not an "accident" any more
than this was. At least Cheney isn't ducking the responsibilty.
You must have a whole lot more symapthy for reckless stupidity than I
    do.

    K-bag,

Do you remember claiming that Clinton was destroying
the US military so that he could lead a UN takeover?
It was a number of years ago.

That's when I realized that there was no point in
arguing with you on the internet.

PS Of course 'Angue' != 'Abuse'.
PPS Yes, I know I am hosing my troll index.

Doesn't matter much. I was about done and that should let the thread
die. I was hoping for a better discussion, but it didn't work out that
way. I'm pretty stubborn and have to be beaten in the head at least a
few times with a sledgehammer before I get it, or give up, but it
    finally got through this time.
I'm still thinking that comment from Curtis about "Parents who become
officials" was aimed in my direction, and yes, there's definitely some
brain damage since I just upgraded, and will probably upgrade on the
motor for next year. And everything used to be SO simple ;-)

    Dumbass -

    Ditto.

    thanks,

    K. Gringioni.

  6. Bill, if you don't trust Cheney to hunt around I think that he can live
    with that.

Your OPINION of what the hell happened is noted and ignored just like
all the stuff from others who weren't there. Now it turns out that
Harry wasn't coming in from behind but walked up out of a defile to one
    side.

My point was that it was an accident. And your comments on
"responsibility" for an accident belong in your own mind and not out
where they are so plainly politically motivated.

Hate to tell you Tom, I would've said exactly the same thing about any
other person, including my best friend that I shoot with at least
monthly if they'd done the same thing. Unlike you I try very hard to
seperate actions from personal issues. In this case I happen to think
Cheney's pretty corrupt to go along with having done something stupid.
In case you haven't noticed I tend to say both good and bad things
about Brian's positions and issues, because that's what an honest
friend does. Personally I like Brian a lot and think he happens to be a
good person, but that doesn't mean we can't disagree. I've got friends
ranging from borderline Dictatorial fascist to people close to that
S.F. city councilor who thinks we should unilaterally disband the
military and there would be world peace. I think it's a lot more fun,
and I learn a lot more by being this way. You should know by now that
I'm a hardass about nasty, criminal people, but someone's political
opinion doesn't make them that in 99.9% of the cases I've found.
We just have a different philosophy that's all. I think the only
person here who might agree with you more often than me is Steve, but
that doesn't mean I'm gonna ignore something I object to. For all the
headbutting I've done with Amit, I'm willing to bet I'd have a blast
sitting down over beers somewhere with him shooting the [censored]. We could
have one hell of an argument, but that wouldn't mean that I didn't
think he's a pretty decent person who really gives a [censored], which I do.

  8. Bill, up to this point I've always thought you pretty level headed. But the
idea that someone getting peppered wth birdshot would set you off in this
    manner is pretty surprising.

I stopped hunting years ago because of the possible accidents. And since I
recognized that when there is ANYONE else around someone with a weapon that
an accident might happen. I was standing down behind the firing line at Camp
Peddleton when I was around 16 and a marine picked his gun up and was trying
to clear a jam. The rifle went off and went straight into the back of
another marine down the line who had improperly stood up. Two men made a
mistake and the front chest of the one marine came out. He was instantly
    dead.

That's the sort of stupid accident that occurred here. Cheney did the wrong
thing and his pal did the wrong thing. That's what accidents are. To say
that accidents NEVER happen is preposterous.
