In the download version you can enter the info as a custom food, and then log the food by percentage of the serving per day.

I am having fits with FitDay. I made a casserole and I put the ingredients in and of course it thinks I am eating the whole darn casserole for today, when in fact I am eating 1/4 quarter of it. How do I rectify this problem. And is there a way to delete past days food? I ask this because my second day is totally messed up because of the same basic problem. If I can't delete past day's food list, then is there a way to delete my account so I can start over? I feel like such a klutz with this program. I hope that someone can help me soon. Thanks in advance.

Is there any good way to get around the limitation imposed by the download version: being tied to a single PC?
The only reason I stay with the website is that I can get to it from any PC. So, I can record what I eat at the time I'm eating it, so not writing down, etc. It makes counting much less of a hassle, for me.

Is the download version better than the free version? I'd love to be able to put a more accurate nutritional count down- but after 1 year of free service cant justify the expense-can you?
I bet you can burn the program to disk for 2 computers.

You can install it on more than one PC and email the database back and forth between them.

So the database is a single file that is easily to located on your HD? That might well be a possibility, but even e-mailing is more hassle than using the web. So the question becomes how much better is the PC version than the website? Opinions?

It doesn't cost that much....and after a year of free service, the fitday folks probably deserve a payday.

Likely.

Yes, the database is a single file and when you close the program a backup file is also created. I use my laptop most of the time and send the backup file to my desktop along with several other things that I back up on the desktop. I really can't give you a comparison as I only used the website for one day. In that time there were occasions that I couldn't access it and said to hell with that, I would rather have it locally available.

Thanks. Thinking about it some more I find what I really want is the ability to move data from the web version into the PC version. First, I have all must custom food entries that I'd hate to redo, and secondly there are times when I don't want to be with my laptop, but I can get to the web. So being able to use the web version and later download data in to the PC version would be superbly ideal, which means it ain't gonna happen..

Consistent problem I've run into with FitDay every time I've tried to use it is that I can't figure out how to set up a goal for the amount of water I plan to drink each day. I choose "Water" from the drop down list where it says "Create Nutritional Goal" and the system changes that to say "Moisture" and measures it in grams.
The only way I can think of to use this is to figure out how many grams there are in 8 ounces of water...and I just don't want to have to go through that. Any of you FitDay experts know how I can get around this issue?
