    I expected better results on my lipids, but perhaps, with further
    exercise and diet, they will improve. A modest portion of the 40 pound
    weight loss was reflected in the "fatter" numbers which were taken 6
    months ago, three months after beginning my exercise program.

    My doctor was happy with the results especially since I followed her
    advice to eat more vegetables and I let her know that helped. Every
    doctor needs a boost now and then.

    Re the A1C: Based on the lowered bg numbers I'm getting with the early
    insulin therapy with tiny doses of insulin, (and the absence of hypos
    that I used to get with the sulfonylurea) I believe it's possible to get
    into the four's and not roller coaster.

    Thank you Andrew. I accepted Christ when I was in college and freaking
    out, thinking I was going mad. I had a deeply religious experience that
    went on for months. But, like C.S. Lewis once wrote, (I'm
    paraphrasing)over time the experience becomes less intense and
    integrated into our being, leaving us desiring to return to it for the
    rest of our lives.
