    At back of pro field in NYC race with Suanders, Creed and Myerson:

    It was really wet for the first half, super slick with about 25 steel man-hole
    covers in the street per lap. Pretty fast but not unmanagable.

    The second half was mostly dry but still some serious standing water on the
    course. Got fast sometimes but the course takes the toll on the riders in NYC
    because of the cobbles, the tight turns and just the constant fighting to get
    to the front.

    Adam was the SI-MB rider you saw with a few laps to go but he couldn't hold it.

    I was just struggling to hang on, my lower back was about to lock up as were a
    number of other guys. Never seen so many guys stretch their backs during a
    race.

    But I made it to 10 to go and decided to ride it out...
